Jar lanterns

I’ve been asking my family to start saving empty glass jars for me, so I can make them into rustic-style lanterns.

To make one, all you need is a jar if any height, that’s wide enough to fit a tea light in the bottom. Get yourself a sheet of printed music paper from Paperchase (£2.75 per sheet) or go buy a cheap old music book from a charity or second hand shop and cut a love heart in the middle before trimming it down to size and gluing it carefully around the jar.

Get some garden twine from your local craft shop or garden centre and tie a bow around the neck of the jar.

You’re good to go!

I’m going to have these either on the tables at the reception after night falls, possibly even on the steps leading up to the venue too. 20140611-190914-68954020.jpg
